Ayn.com is an independent reference about Ayn Rand and her philosophy, Objectivism. It explains; it does not campaign for or against her.

Where the facts come from

Dates, publishers and biographical events are bibliographic facts, and each work and timeline entry links to a public reference where it can be checked. Summaries of books and concepts are our own paraphrase and are never presented as Rand’s words.

Quotations

Rand is heavily misquoted. We publish a quotation only when its wording and its location in the book are well attested, and we give the part and chapter. If you know a line we should add, send it with an edition and page number.

Essays

The essays are longer interpretive pieces. For checkable facts, rely on the works, characters, concepts and timeline pages.

Corrections

Tell us what is wrong and where the right answer can be checked.
